Ash Wednesday*

Wednesday, February 18, 12:00pm at the Village Barn

Join us for a traditional ash imposition service that includes singing, confession, scripture readings, a homily, and Holy Communion. We will be partnering with All Saints Church (our liturgical / sacramental partner) for this service.

Priestly confession is available upon request between 9:30-11:30am.

* Ash Wednesday is traditionally a day of full fasting from all food

Community Days

Join us for a Saturday morning including communal serving projects, prayer offices, a fellowship meal, and an invitation to engaged in contemplative practices of silence & solitude.

Holy Week

Join us for Holy Week (March 29-April 5). Throughout this week our normal prayer hours (9am, noon, 4:30pm) will feature readings associated with the events in Jesus’ final week.

Maundy Thursday

Thursday, April 2, (4:30-7:00pm)

+ The Evening begins with Evening Prayer at 4:30pm
+ Potluck Dinner follows at the Village Barn (echoing our typical Friday Night Feasts)
+ Maundy Thursday Service - Join us for a communal meal and then a special service in which we remember Jesus’s final meal with His disciples. This is the evening when Jesus gave the Church the sacrament of Holy Communion and in which He demonstrated the depth of His humility in washing His disciples’ feet.

This service is the first part of a 3-part service (Good Friday + Great Easter Vigil). We will be partnering with All Saints Church (our liturgical / sacramental partner) for these services.

Good Friday

Friday, April 3, 2:00-3:15pm

Join us for a traditional Good Friday service: readings, music, homily, and a time of silence at 3pm (the traditional hour of Jesus’s death).

We are also invited to enter into silence, stillness, and solitude on the campus of Iona House throughout the morning and afternoon. Stations of the Cross will be available for mediation throughout the day on campus.

Great Easter Vigil

Saturday, April 4, 7:30pm

Join us for the third part of the Triduum (Maundy Thursday + Good Friday + Great Easter Vigil) that celebrates the first light of Easter. We begin in the darkness of waiting, listening to the story of salvation, renew our baptismal vows, and then welcome in Easter with bells and joyful shouts of Alleluia. It’s a beautiful and memorable experience!
